A holiday cookie exchange is a fun and festive event that lets you 1) get together and enjoy time with friends, 2) taste lots of delicious cookies, and 3) take home a fabulous stash of goodies to last you through the holidays – whether you want to give them as gifts or serve them at holiday parties! In my last blog post, I included great ideas and recipes to get you started with planning a Holiday Cookie Exchange.
Need more recipe ideas? Don’t miss these yummy ones from my Taste of Home temp-tations Holiday Cookbook. Cherry Kiss Cookies taste like chocolate-covered cherries, and Raspberry-Almond Thumbprint Cookies are crisp and buttery with a hint of almond and a touch of sweetness from the raspberry jam.
Once you’ve made your plan, and everyone knows which cookie recipe they’ll be making and bringing, ask each attendee to bring a festive assortment of temp-tations containers or dishes for packaging their cookies to bring to the exchange, displaying them, and taking their stash home! So many colorful temp-tations® will add to the merriment of the party
Of course, these brand new Nested Baking Trays are the perfect way to bake up your own cookies. Featuring growing flowers and lovely sentiments such as be happy, be joyful, be generous, be kind, be grateful, be you, the trays are not only great for baking your favorite cookies, biscuits and rolls, but they’re beautiful for presenting and serving your cookies!
A few more fun ideas for hosting: be sure to serve party snacks and cups of hot cocoa for all to enjoy! Then ask everyone to vote on their favorite cookie of the bunch. And make sure all go home with a nice variety of holiday cookies and the recipes for each.
