If there are tried and true family favorite recipes, diet restrictions or food preferences among your guests, it’s good to note those first, before you start planning your menu. That way, you can make sure there’s something for everyone, and all feel welcomed.
There are so many options for delicious holiday main courses – from turkey, chicken, and ham to pork tenderloin or Swedish meatballs. And if you’re serving a big group, it’s a nice idea to serve two options, so that guests have a choice.
Also, when guests offer to bring something, definitely take them up on it! Sharing recipes and favorite dishes is all part of the fun and warmth of a holiday gathering. You can either make specific assignments or general suggestions (like a salad, side or dessert) to round out your menu. Or ask them to bring wine, if they’re not into cooking 😉
