  • 12 paper cupcake liners
  • 1/2 cup butter, soft
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon mint extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup butter, soft
  • 1/4 teaspoon mint extract
  • 1/2 Tablespoon bourbon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons whole milk
  • Mint leaves and straws for garnish

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line your temp-tations® muffin pan with paper cupcake liners. You will need to bake these in two batches.
  3. For the cupcakes, place the butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and mint in the bowl of a stand mixer. Beat until smooth.
  4. Slowly blend in milk and bourbon.
  5. Add in flour, baking powder and salt and blend until smooth, but do not overmix.
  6. Fill each cupcake liner 2/3 full with batter. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of one cupcake comes out clean. Remove from pan and bake the remaining six cupcakes.
  7. For the frosting, place the butter in the bowl of a stand mixer. Whisk on high until fluffy and pale in color.
  8. Add in mint, bourbon and salt and blend until smooth.
  9. Add in powdered sugar and milk and slowly blend until smooth, scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary. Use more milk if needed to achieve a thick, creamy consistency.
  10. Once cupcakes are completely cool frost them and garnish with mint leaves and straws if desired.
