Are my temp-tations® dishes safe?
temp-tations® stands behind the safety and quality of all of its products. It is our Company Policy to use only lead-free glazes, pigments or decals in our porcelain, stoneware, china and earthenware products. We know of no company with a more stringent policy with respect to the use of lead, cadmium and other contaminants than temp-tations®. Our products meet or exceed U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) standards. temp-tations® products also comply with strict State of California standards, commonly referred to as “Proposition 65,” relating to lead, cadmium and other contaminants. All of our products are tested by accredited, independent laboratories before they are shipped to the U.S. Were we to find items that did not meet FDA or Proposition 65 standards, those products would be destroyed and not imported into the U.S.
What is the warranty of my temp-tations® set?
temp-tations® comes with a limited one year warranty. This warranty applies to all new temp-tations® products that were purchased for personal or household use from an authorized retailer. This warranty is not available to commercial purchasers or owners. We warrant that your product will be free of defects in materials or workmanship, under normal use. To assure the proper handling of your warranty without delay, and to facilitate verification of the original date of purchase, we suggest that you complete the registration immediately. Register your limited one year warranty online at www.temp-tations.com. Should your product prove to be defective within the warranty period, we will have the option to repair or replace your product at no charge. Transportation and/or shipping costs are not included in the terms of this warranty. This warranty will be void if defect is caused by accident, misuse, negligence, including tampering, abuse, damage in transit, or use for commercial purposes. It does not cover damage caused by anything other than a manufacturing defect. This warranty excludes any relief for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
Why are there slight variations in my temp-tations® set?
Part of the charm of temp-tations® is that each piece will be unique, making this truly an art form. temp-tations® ceramicware is handcrafted and hand painted, therefore no two pieces will ever be alike. Color variations and brushstrokes will vary from piece to piece, making your set truly one of a kind.
Are temp-tations® oven safe?
Yes, all temp-tations® dishes are oven safe up to 500°F.
Can I use my dishes on my stove top?
No, temp-tations® dishes should not be used on a stove top or open flame.
Can I put my dishes in the dishwasher?
Yes, all temp-tations® dishes are dishwasher safe.
Is it safe to put my set in the refrigerator or freezer?
Yes, all temp-tations® dishes and storage covers are freezer and refrigerator safe.
Can I use my dishes in the microwave?
Yes, all temp-tations® dishes are microwave safe.
Is it safe to go from the freezer directly to the oven with my dishes?
Yes, all temp-tations® dishes can go from the freezer directly to the oven.
Why do the rattan trivets in my set have an odor?
There may be a scent associated with the protective lacquer applied to the rattan to ease in cleanup. This scent will dissipate in a short period of time.
My set has tempered glass trivets, how should I clean them?
It is recommended that you hand wash tempered glass trivets. Do not soak in warm soapy water.
My set has plastic storage covers, how should they work?
temp-tations® tabless storage covers are not designed to snap on, be air or water tight. They are simply to cover your dish and allow stacking in the refrigerator or freezer as well as to help protect your food. If your temp-tations® includes “snap-on” covers, they are designed with large tabs to snap on for a snug fit. Due to the nature of stoneware, they will not be air tight or water tight.
I cannot find the plastic storage covers for my set, where are they?
The plastic storage covers are embedded in the foam packaging. Please remove all packaging from the box to find the plastic storage covers.
Can I clean my plastic storage covers in the dishwasher?
Yes, the plastic storage covers can be cleaned on the top rack of your dishwasher.
Can I use my plastic storage covers in the oven?
No, the plastic storage covers should only be used when storing dishes in the refrigerator or freezer.
Can I use my plastic storage covers in the microwave?
We do not recommend using the plastic storage covers in the microwave.
My set has a thermal tote bag, how should I clean it?
Do not machine wash your thermal tote bag. Spot clean with a damp towel and mild soap. Do not use bleach. Your thermal tote bag can be put into the dryer on low. Use an iron on the lowest setting to remove any wrinkles.
