Coming up for some air….

Wow, what a day - thank you, thank you for all the thoughtful phone calls, emails and posts regarding my 5 year anniversary!  I must say that I am overwhelmed every time you tell me how you have welcomed me into your home.  For me, temp-tations has truly been the smile at the end of every day, a labor of love.  Each dish, each design is like a part of me.  I spend hours going over ideas, sketching, trying to decide what I think would look beautiful in your home and make you too, smile!

So the big question – Tara what’s new? Well I am preparing for my big dinnerware TSV on November 5th, I cannot begin to tell you the amount of work that goes into this from my end and of course QVC’s…the production, the sets, every detail - it’s very exciting and bit nerve racking – I just want it to be perfect :) I am also launching a completer set (platter, vegetable bowl, sugar and creamer) and 18/10 matching flatware…104 pieces. It is going to be a blast and I will be kicking it off with my TV BFF and for those that watch me regularly you know who I mean…

Looking forward to heading home tomorrow, back to NY to visit my mom & dad – they are two of the most beautiful people in the world and I am truly blessed.  They just got a puppy – a schnoodle from a rescue, named Cody who has brought them so much joy.  My father is home with hospice battling end stage emphysema so any smiles these days are always welcomed.  He is my rock and truly my biggest fan – every daughter should be as lucky as to have a dad like mine…

Well I am clearly rambling a bit… thanks again for all the support and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Getting ready for a big “Cooking on Q” day….

I am bursting! I could not be more excited for my 5 year anniversary this Sunday 10/18 on QVC. I have so many new ideas to share with you.  I have (2) 1 hour shows – the 11am EST will be all  in my Old World pattern where I will be launching table linens (70″round w/6 napkins, 60×84 w/6 napkins,60×102 w/ 8 napkins and 60×120 w/ 8 napkins), an adorable breadbox for your counter-top, terry cloth like oven mitts in all the fabulous colors of old world and a brand new addition to the family – instead of a basket image the trivet actually being a serving platter!

For my 6pm EST show I have a brand new addition to the polka-dot family – a thermal embroidered carrier tote with 3 baking dishes inside – it’s adorable!!  Also I will be launching the recipe cards many of you have requested – a set of 40 of  my mothers creations, some favorites and good ole comfort food…wait till you see the hand painted recipe box to hold these in…the list goes on and on…also there will be special anniversary pricing during these shows :)

I will also be on with the Old World paper towel holder and microfiber towels during Mom’s Kitchen at 7amEST and with Cucina for the Finale at 10pm!

Hope to see you there – would love to hear after the shows what you really liked, what you would want to see more of…keep the input coming!!! Thanks for all the support – I am forever grateful.

Wow..what a beautiful fall day here in New York!

The leaves are changing and falling – guess its officially time to welcome in the colder months. Need to find some time for apple picking. I am also very excited to announce the birth of my nephew – John David born on 10/2… truly a blessing.

I am getting ready to head down to QVC for airings Wednesday and Friday. Wednesday’s patterns are some of our favorites, old world and orchard vine. On Friday I am launching a brand new pattern with Carolyn at midnight called heritage and a new configuration of my latest pattern floral lace with Jane later that day – very excited about both!!! Please check my Calendar for exact times.

Hope to see you there!

Sunday 10/4 – In the Kitchen with David

Just wanted to let you know that I will be selling the Old World 8pc Speciality baking set (K25585) with David this Sunday.  I adore this set ~ it includes a pie plate with a tempered glass trivet, a 6 cup muffin baker with a wire rack,a loaf pan in a wire basket and two (brand new to the collection) utensils- you can do such adorable things in each dish….my fav is to bake your recipe, wrap it up in plastic, attach your recipe and give it as a gift – with that in mind this would make 3 fabulous yet very personal gifts.  Tune in, hope to see you there!

ps ~ you can always check “my calendar page” to see my upcoming shows..my big 5 year anniversary is on 10/18…lots of new
